Hepatitis B is a highly infectious disease which leads to a swelling of the liver. This infection is found in both developed and developing countries, but is primarily concentrated in developing countries. This is due to a lack of access and it’s asymptomatic nature. Many individuals’ who are infected don’t feel sick.
Hepatitis B is preventable. There is a vaccination which can be administered to prevent obtaining the virus. In cases where a blood report indicated Hepatitis B, a doctor might suggest medications to prevent further damage to the liver. Liver damage can lead to jaundice and eventually death.
